Pleasant Studios have now acquired a new space, Studio 2. Studio 2 is located downstairs in the same building as
Studio 1. Please see below for dimensions. Studio two has a full infinity cove.

Pleasant Studios are London's newest and most interesting photographic
studios and creative spaces. From photo shoots to moving image and casting
space, Pleasant has been designed to be fully functional and ideal for all
your shooting and work requirements.
Situated close to Exmouth market in the heart of Clerkenwell, its location
is convenient for the West End (approx. ten minutes). Excellent train,
tube and bus links make it easy to access from any part of the city and
beyond.

Pleasant studio is made up of two seperate studio spaces, Studio 1 and
Studio 2. Both studios have closed set, that can be seperated from the
rest of the working, relaxation and hair and make up/styling areas if
required. Studio 2 has a full infinity cove.
Both studios feature spacious reception areas with retractable work-tops
and benches means that the whole of the studio area can be customised to
your requirements making Pleasant Studios the ultimate flexible working
space.
Both studios can be hired on the same day if required.

We have various lighting packages which can be included in rental prices,
Pleasant uses the best catering companies in London, to guarantee that you
and your team is well fed during your shoot.
We have a large range of Colorama backdrops, Polyboards, stands and
tri-pods to suit your requirements.
Additional equipment or consumables can be pre-prdered for your shoot.
Iron, ironing board, steamer and rails are also all available..

Numbers 19, 38 and 341 stop directly outside the studio (stop Mount Pleasant). Number 63 stops on Farringdon Road (approx. 2 minutes away). Numbers 55 and 241 stop on Clerkenwell Road (approx. 5 minutes away). Car Parking:

There are many photographic labs and camera/equipment rental companies
very close to the studio.

The studio is fully kitted out for everything you will need for your
production.
We have recently had acoustic glazing installed throughout the whole
studio, meaning that you can have perfect silence for your stills or video
shoot in the heart of central London.
There is free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the studio, with designated
areas to work if you want to be away from the hustle of the shoot.

Lighting wise the studio has the following lighting which can either be
included into the rental price of the studio, or hired at an extra cost;

2 x 1m x 1.5m softboxes Range of Brollies Spill Kills / Barn Doors / Snoots Stands for all the kit We also have many polyboards and stands, sandbags and a full range of
colorama (pretty much every colour there is).
If you require any specific lighting which we don't have already in the
studio, then we have accounts with Direct, Calumet, AIM Image and the Pro
Centre, so any equipment requirements can be here for you when you arrive.
If you need anything on the day, all equipment can be delivered within an
hour.

i-Pod docks are situated throughout the studio, so please bring yours if
you want to listen to your own music. The studio provides an i-Pod,
however some of the music on it is questionable.
We also have a 12ft secure scaffolding tower in the studio which can be
erected and used for your shoot, if you want to gain a bit of height. It
has 2 possible levels, one at around 5ft, one at 12ft. There is a small
charge for using the scaffolding tower, and it must be erected by the
studio manager/assistant.

We now offer a 'One Stop Shop' digital package at the studio.
We decided to do this as we've spent the last year or so watching people
spend far too much money by hiring in all the different elements for a
digital shoot, from different companies so we have created the perfect
package for you.
We have on site the latest Canon EOS1 DS Mark 3 and Mark 2, and fully
loaded 24inch widescreen brand new Mac computers, and all equipment is
checked and serviced daily.
The Pleasant digital package has all the following benefits;
- All the equipment is ready at the studio, is brand new, and is here when
you arrive. There is no worrying about deliveries, or paying for
couriers.
- You only recieve one invoice, instead of 5 or 6 different ones from different companies. - You can have your entire shoot booked and ready to go in one phone call, instead of having to make many different ones and wasting half a day. - Our digital package is so ridiculously affordable that it's at least £1000 cheaper than hiring everything in seperately. |
We provide the following for your digital shoot;
*Brand new Canon Eos 1DS Mark 3, and also Canon Eos 1DS Mark 2 Camera.
*Brand new iMac 4g RAM 24in Widescreen computer, fully loaded with Photoshop CS3, Aperture and Capture One. *Our lovely studio digital operator Jason, who will take care of all the digital needs, and man the computer all day. *All the lighting as featured in our equipment section. *The studio, for the day. *Breakfast & coffee for the team upon arrival. We carry a large selection of hard drives which your files can be stored
onto at the end of the shoot and taken away, or we can load your shoot
onto DVD or CD at the end of the job if required.
All this comes in at an unbeatable £999. It's impossibly good value.

We offer a varied breakfast of organic muesli, toasts & jams, fruit platter, and fresh
croissants and pastries.
There is a wide selection of organic fair trade teas and coffees which you can help
yourself to throughout the day. This is included with the breakfast.

The studio has a large fridge full of drinks and juices, and we provide
snacks, crisps and chocolates if you are peckish in between meals.
For lunches and dinners we offer various options. We have accounts with
Deliverance if people want quick and much varied options, or we have Bread
and Honey for more exciting and formal food. Sandwich platters, as well as
salads can be ordered in to be delivered fresh on the day.

There are many pizza and pasta companies close by (Such as Strada & La
Porchetta) as well as many restaurants where we can book tables for you if
required.
Please note that Bread and Honey require 24 hours notice in preparation of
their fresh dishes.

Studio Opening Hours
Our regular opening hours are 9am-6pm If studio is required before 9am then overtime will be charged up until the 9am start time. Rates of overtime
£45ph until 9pm, £65 until 12am, after 12am £100ph Weekend Rates Saturday + Sunday
Digital £1299 Studio Day Rate £475 Editorial (please contact studio). Casting £350 We are happy to negotiate these rates for repeat and
multiple bookings. Please speak to the studio manager for more details.

Terms and conditions of booking
Normal working hours are between 9am and 5pm outside these hours are charged at overtime rates. Any client cancelling a confirmed studio booking with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full studio rate. Accounts must be settled within 30 days of receipt of invoice Pleasant Studio Ltd accept no responsibilty for items lost or damaged in transit, either to or from a shoot taking place in the studio. |
